From January to March, the number of passenger traffic decreased due to the coronavirus infection, and there was a decrease in demand by 15%, that is, to 2.7 million air passengers. In March and April, the carrier suspended several thousand flights due to the global pandemic.

The airline hopes that in 2-3 years the volume of passenger traffic will increase to the level of 2021. In 2021, it amounted to 14.7 million air passengers.

Air traffic with the Russian Federation

On March 27, the Russian government decided to suspend international flights. At the moment, the ban on air traffic has not been lifted by either the Government of the Russian Federation or the Federal Air Transport Agency. Only certain export shipments are allowed.

On May 16, Evgeny Dietrich, Russia's Minister of Transport, announced that the department expects to resume international passenger transportation in July. However, this process should be made safe by the countries from where the passenger transportation will be carried out or where the citizens of the Russian Federation will be sent.
