In 2021, foreign applicants had a unique opportunity to apply for budget-funded places in Polish universities without having Polish origin and a Pole's Card.

Free education in Poland for young people is a chance to get a high quality education in prestigious European universities, choosing a good specialty, and then it is easy to find a job in Europe.

Although the cost of education and student life in the republic is considered affordable in comparison with education in other EU countries, the prospect of studying for free attracts many applicants. This means that a unique opportunity, which has become available quite recently and about which little is known, will definitely interest you.

Starting from the 2019/2020 introductory campaign, it became possible to enroll in Polish universities and study for free - provided that you speak Polish at the C1 level.

Who can apply for free education in Poland

Until now, the overwhelming majority of foreigners entered into a contract for paid higher education in the republic. Only ethnic Poles (holders of the Pole Card) or participants in scholarship projects of a particular university could study at the expense of the state (or university) in Poland.

According to the innovations in the law on higher education, now every foreign applicant who knows Polish at the C1 level and has received a certificate of this can be admitted to study on a budgetary basis.

Conditions of admission

The perspective is truly unique. Let's figure out how to use it correctly.

First of all: this opportunity is available only for admission to state universities of the republic. Therefore, if you have chosen a private university, you will not be able to take advantage of this chance.

In general, the system of admission to study is very similar to the one established for the Pole Card holders - according to the certificate competition. The better the results in the school certificate, the more chances you have to pass the competition for budget education.

Knowledge of the Polish language at C1 level means practically fluency and communication. It will take a lot of time and effort to arrive at such results; perhaps attending courses several times a week or a tutor.

In addition to mastering the language, you need to confirm your knowledge - to pass an exam and get a certificate. An important nuance: this document must be issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Knowledge of Polish as a Foreign Language.

Examinations for obtaining a certificate are held only by authorized institutions in the Republic of Poland or organized in other countries, for example, in Ukraine, several times a year.

The ENTRANT educational center is the first to provide a unique opportunity to enroll in free education for foreign applicants from this year. We officially cooperate with 30 higher educational institutions of the Republic of Poland. We offer programs for the preparation and study of the Polish language up to the C1 level in Poland with subsequent admission. We invite you to cooperation!
