As the number of coronavirus infections declines, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism expects to begin restoring resorts.
The British agency Reuters reports that the resorts of the Indonesian island of Bali will be able to open in early October.

Reception of tourists is possible only when the situation with coronavirus infection in the world stabilizes. In May, a noticeable decrease in the number of cases was recorded on the island. If this trend continues, the local authorities will make every effort to restore the tourism business as soon as possible.

To attract a tourist flow, the Ministry of Tourism is ready to launch a special advertising campaign. The ministry notes that the first to be opened will be the city of Yogyakarta on the island of Java and the province of Riau on the island of Sumatra.

During the outbreak of coronavirus on the island of Bali, 343 infected people were recorded, 4 cases died. During the period of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Indonesia, 16,496 cases were officially recorded, more than 1,000 people died.

Also on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, there was previously a message that the Cypriot authorities plan to resume receiving tourists as soon as the mass infection with coronavirus subsides. According to preliminary forecasts, this may happen as early as July. Local resorts hope for the arrival of holidaymakers at the beginning of the tourist season. Russian tour operators assume that this direction will become the most popular in the second half of the summer season.
