On the world map, perhaps, there is no country that our compatriots visited as often as Poland. Historically, this direction is not only in the sphere of interests of tourists. Students, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and other categories of foreigners who connect their lives with Poland willingly come to the country. But each of them must resolve visa issues before the trip, since otherwise it is impossible to cross the border.

Types of visas to Poland

More than 10 years ago, Poland joined the Schengen Agreement. Therefore, all issues of obtaining a visa are governed by clear rules. Foreigners, depending on the purpose of the trip, have the opportunity to issue 6 types of permits.

Schengen visa type C

This option is most familiar to Russians and citizens of the CIS countries, since it has already become a classic one for travel to the Schengen area. Type C is ideal for the following purposes:

  • Guest visit to close relatives or friends;
  • Business trip;
  • Participation in any seminars or conferences (cultural events are also included in this group);
  • Short-term work;
  • Invitation from Poles and citizens of the European Union.

A Schengen visa gives you the right to stay in Poland for up to 3 months. Most often, travelers who have never been to the republic will be issued a one-time permit. But with frequent visits to the country, taking into account the observance of all laws, the Polish authorities will revise the duration of stay and the number of permitted entries / exits from one-time in the direction of increasing.

Type C assumes the presence of a foreigner in Poland, but with the opportunity to visit other countries of the Schengen area.

Tourist

For the sake of Polish beauties, not only Russians travel to the country, but also Ukrainians, Belarusians, as well as citizens of other CIS countries. All of them apply for a tourist visa.

It belongs to the "Schengen" category, but has its own differences in design:

  • It is mandatory to provide documents confirming the payment of the hotel in 50% size;
  • Confirmation of 2 expired Schengen visas is required.

According to a permit document of the category "tourist", a foreigner can spend 3 months in Poland in half a year. If desired, he will be admitted to another country of the Schengen zone.

National visa category D

If a foreigner plans to stay in the republic for a long time, then he must take care of obtaining a national visa.

Most often, it is issued to 2 categories of visitors:

  • Students;
  • Persons planning to work in the country.

In the first case, consideration of the application is impossible without enrollment in the course (the curriculum can be of any duration) and a student card (the document is attached in the form of an original and a copy).

It is much more difficult to obtain a type D visa for the purpose of working in the country. To do this, the foreigner will have to provide:

  • Application from the employer (provincial invitation);
  • Work permit (it is extremely reluctant to be issued by the authorities);
  • Certificate indicating the sponsor of residence in Poland.

Foreigners who:

  • Going for treatment;
  • Possess a Pole card;
  • They have close relatives with the status of "Polish citizen".

A category D national visa is issued immediately for a year. In the future, it can be extended, and each time the validity of the permit increases.

With this type of visa, a foreigner will be entitled to travel to all countries of the Schengen Agreement. The period of stay outside the borders of Poland is limited to 3 months. Then he will have to return to the republic and only six months later will be able to leave for the Schengen zone again.

Transit visa

If a foreigner plans to travel through Poland to another country, then he will need a transit permit. It allows you to stay on the territory of the republic for up to 5 days.

To apply for a visa you will need:

  • Confirmation of payment by the hotel at the final point of the route;
  • Visa of the country of destination;
  • An invitation or other justification for the purpose of the trip.

But in the issues of issuing a transit permit, there are subtleties. For example, if a resident of Kazakhstan travels to Bulgaria or any other country through Poland, then he will simply need transit. Otherwise, the journey will fail.

But a resident of Ukraine traveling from Odessa, or a Belarusian from Brest, in some circumstances, can do without a transit visa at all.

Russians and citizens of the listed countries do not need it if:

  • The end point of the route is the states of the Schengen area;
  • Purpose of travel - Czech Republic;
  • Heading to Slovakia.

There are 2 types of transit visa:

  • A - this type is affixed to be in the transit zone of the airport (it is strictly forbidden for foreigners to leave it);
  • V - most often this type is issued for travel through the territory of Poland by land transport (many use it to travel by car to the Lithuanian borders).

Entry for residents of Kaliningrad and the region

For this group of people, there is a special system of entry and exit - the MPP card. It is issued only to those who will be able to prove that for the last 3 years before the submission of documents they lived in Kaliningrad itself or in the settlements included in its region.

Document processing is extremely fast - in just 4 working days. But the MPP does not give the right to move around the entire territory of the republic. The visa coverage area includes only border areas.

These include:

  • Gdansk;
  • Puck;
  • Gdynia;
  • Elblag.

The card is issued at the first call for 2 years, at the next - for 5 years.

Multiple entry visa (multivisa)

This category belongs to the Schengen area, but allows several visits to the country during its validity. Such a visa can be affixed only to those who have already had several such permits and have never violated the laws of the country.

Usually a multiple entry visa is given for:

  • 6 months;
  • One year.

The validity period of this document is identical to the standard Schengen.

Residents of Ukraine have the opportunity to get a multivisa for purchases. It is distinguished by its simplicity of design and allows you to visit Poland for the purpose of shopping.

Initially, the opening of the corridor takes place for 7 days. In the future, you can independently apply for the production of a six-month and one-year visa. The number of purchases made with the multi-visa for shopping is not limited.

Where can I get a visa to Poland

Our compatriots can apply for Polish permits to various institutions:

  • Consular departments;
  • Visa Application Reception Points (VAPP);
  • Travel agencies;
  • Specialized companies.

The last two items on the list are intermediaries and must have Polish accreditation (you need to find out about this in advance).

Consular departments are located in major cities of Russia. Their list is limited, therefore, before the initial stage of obtaining a visa, it is recommended to find out if it is possible to submit papers in a particular city in this way.

PPVZ operate in 26 Russian cities. The geography of their location covers a vast territory from Krasnodar to Khabarovsk.

How difficult is it to get a visa to Poland for Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, citizens of Kazakhstan and residents of other CIS countries

Poland is known for having the least number of visa refusals among the Schengen countries. The country's policy is quite loyal, so if all the rules are followed, it will not be difficult to obtain an entry permit.

The only exception is WFP cards. Their issuance has been temporarily suspended, and the embassy has not yet provided information on the resumption of registration. The existing MPPs operate as usual.

How to get a visa to Poland for Russians, Belarusians

Any visa application process revolves around the collection of documents. Poland is no exception to this rule, so the preparatory phase must be taken very seriously.

Main package of documents

The list of papers is standard and is well known to those who have already issued Schengen more than once:

  • Application (it is filled in in Latin according to the samples posted on the embassy's website);
  • Foreign passport with its copy (it is important to take into account the validity period of the document, which cannot expire earlier than 180 days after returning home);
  • Travel tickets (it is better to make copies or scans of them);
  • Photo in the amount of 2 pieces;
  • Medical insurance (Russian and Polish companies can deal with it);
  • Copies of the Russian identity card;
  • Confirmation of financial solvency (account statements, income statement).

If the tourist is officially unemployed, then it is enough for him to provide a bank statement. The account must have sufficient funds to stay in the country. Sum calculated based on 30 euros per day.

Features of filling out the questionnaire

Our compatriots find Polish rules a little confusing. But it's actually pretty simple:

  • When submitting an application to the consulate, it is filled in only electronically in the e-Konsulat system, and the signature and date are put manually;
  • Visa centers accept application forms filled in manually in block letters or on a computer (a paper form is submitted).

Obtaining a visa through a consulate

The process of obtaining a visa in this way is as follows:

  1. Make an appointment through the website or by phone number;
  2. Visit to the institution on a strictly specified date and time;
  3. Submission of an application in electronic form (a form is printed out with the applicant by an employee of the consulate);
  4. Transfer of the collected package of papers;
  5. Payment of duties;
  6. Transfer of receipts confirming payment;
  7. Signature of the data processing agreement;
  8. Waiting for a decision.

Stages of visa processing through PPVZ

You can get an appointment at the centers by appointment or on a first come, first served basis. The registration process is identical to the above, but with one exception - the staff of the PPVZ accept electronic and paper versions of the questionnaire. The first is necessary to register the application, and the second becomes part of the package of necessary papers.

If you wish, you can fill out the form with the help of the center's staff.

Submission of documents to travel companies

Those who are ready to use the services of intermediary companies do not need to stand in lines and travel to consular departments. Travel agents do all the work for them:

  • Fill out the questionnaire;
  • Check the compliance of documents with the established rules;
  • Take the papers to the consulate;
  • Get a passport.

The tourist will need to appear only to sign the application form.

Accredited companies

Specialized organizations also take on all the care of resolving visa issues.

Only 3 steps are required from the applicant:

  1. Transfer of documents;
  2. Signature of the application;
  3. Obtaining a visa.

If the tourist does not want to go to the office himself for a visa, he can order a courier delivery.

It is important to consider that persons who have not previously submitted their prints must go through this procedure. A child under 12 years old is exempt from fingerprinting. Biometric data will be valid for 5 years.

Terms of obtaining a visa to Poland

The duration of the consideration of the application depends on the type of visa:

  • Schengen is issued in 14 working days;
  • A short-term type C visa will be issued for 10 days;
  • A category D permit must be waited for at least 30 days.

If the applicant is extremely limited in time, then he can apply for an urgent review of documents. In this case, the decision will be made in 1-3 days.

Ways to get a ready-made visa

Upon readiness, our compatriots can obtain a passport in 2 ways:

  • Personally in hands;
  • Via courier service (it is recommended to write an application for delivery when submitting documents).

Courier services are paid on the spot after the service has been provided.

You can track the status of the application on the websites of the PPVZ and the embassy. Tracking takes place online.

The cost of obtaining a visa to Poland

Depending on where our compatriots apply for a permit, its cost will also change:

  • Consular departments charge 35 euros for a visa (urgent processing will be 2 times more expensive);
  • In the visa centers, the announced amount will be supplemented with about 20 euros;
  • Travel firms and specialized companies charge for their services about 300 euros.

In some cases, you have to pay extra for the help of intermediaries up to 1500 euros.

Two types of applicants are exempt from paying consular fees:

  • Children under six years of age;
  • Disabled people.

Grounds for refusal to issue a visa to Poland

The countries of Eastern Europe rarely refuse to issue a visa to Russians. But if such a nuisance happened, then the employees had a good reason to make a negative decision:

  • Fake certificates and statements;
  • Ignoring the requirements for paperwork;
  • Errors in filling out the questionnaire;
  • Insufficient amount of money in the account;
  • Having immigration intentions.

It is not possible to appeal against the refusal, but everyone has the right to submit an application a second time. By eliminating the reasons that led to the refusal, the chances of approval of the application increase.

Feedback from people who have received a visa to Poland on the procedure for obtaining

Anastasia:“The visa was given in 10 days.True, I asked for a year, but the consular officer for some reason did not want to agree with me and decided that I could only open a permit for 5 months. I made such a note. This is exactly how much permission was given. By the way, despite the fact that I was visiting friends, I booked an inexpensive hostel. The money, of course, was not returned to me later, but questions at the consulate did not arise. "

Dmitriy:“I received a multivisa after one-time rare visits to Lithuania and the Czech Republic, and my girlfriend - for 2 years. From this point of view, I have no complaints about the Poles. But the work of the employees of the visa center raises a lot of complaints: they do not have the necessary information and have to argue with them on many issues, SMS about the readiness of passports were never sent, I had to consult with the shift supervisor. "

Many travelers consider a visa to Poland as a gateway to Europe. It is affixed without any problems, and the number of failures is close to zero. It's nice that after a few Polish visas it is much easier to get an entry permit to the EU countries.
