Augsburg strikes with its beauty: neat clean streets, harmoniously built houses and rich landscaping leave a favorable impression. The city forest in the southeast, the zoo, the botanical garden in the southern part of the city and the huge national nature park “Augsburg Western Forests” provide an opportunity to relax in the fresh air right in the middle of the big city.

According to the results of the 1997 competition, in which 9 European countries participated, Augsburg received the award “The most lively and greenest city”.

The proximity of nature makes Augsburg extremely attractive for residents of other German cities planning to move to a new place of residence.
