Siam Park is the largest and most exotic water park in Europe. Among the lush tropical greenery and picturesque Thai-style buildings are original water attractions. The park offers swimming, diving, water slides, surfing and parties. If you find yourself in the Canary Islands, do not miss the opportunity to visit the world of a magical oriental fairy tale - Siam Park in Tenerife.

Park record holder

Siam Park is a grand entertainment center that harmoniously combines water attractions, a nature park and a thematic architectural complex in a historical Thai style. The owners are the German Kisling family.

All buildings in the park were built according to projects that were officially approved in Thailand, a Thai princess took part in the opening of the complex. Siam Park opened in 2008 and has become a record holder in many nominations.

This is the world's first ecological "green" water park. It is home to the largest Thai-style building complex outside Asia and the world's largest dragon sculpture.

In the surfing pool, you can ride the world's highest artificial wave - about 3 meters high.

Up to 700 cubic meters of desalinated seawater heated up to +25 ° C are supplied daily to the slides and pools. Plants in the park are watered with "waste" water. The complex has a shark aquarium, a sea lion pool, fashionable recreation areas, Thai restaurants and even a small floating market.

The most interesting rides

The attractions and activities in Siam Park are divided into 3 categories. Relaxation pools and relaxation areas are ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. Family attractions are designed for parents with children and guests who don't like the thrill. Slides of the "Adrenaline" class will appeal to fans of extreme sports.

Admission to the rides is not based on age, but according to the height of the visitor. In front of the entrance, a sign hangs on each slide, which indicates the minimum height that allows you to safely ride it.

In addition, the degree of complexity of the track and its features (whether there are “blind” zones, stroboscopic or laser elements inside) is also indicated here.

There are no inscriptions in Russian, but you can easily navigate by the symbols.

The start and end of each descent is controlled by rescuers, who also regulate the flow of visitors. The pool, which you land in after descending, is not too deep, and a qualified lifeguard will come to your aid at any time.

Now let's talk about the most interesting slides in Siam Park.

The "Adrenaline" category includes:

  1. The “visiting card” of the park is the Tower of power attraction, which is often called the “kamikaze slide”. Its height is 28 meters (like a 10-storey building). You will begin your descent with an almost vertical free fall, and then at a speed of up to 80 km / h you will sweep through a glass pipe through an aquarium with sharks and rays and land in the pool. Many spectators always gather near this attraction, but only the most courageous dare to take part in the dizzying flight.
  2. The Dragon slide, seen from afar, is decorated with the figure of a huge orange dragon. Flying through a giant funnel, you will find yourself in real weightlessness for a few seconds. The height of the slide is 10 meters.
  3. Volcano is an attraction that simulates flying through the mouth of a volcano. During the breathtaking downhill descent, stroboscopic and laser imitations of hot lava and flying sparks surround you.
  4. Kinnaree is located at the edge of the park, near the fence. This was done deliberately: when, after a 200-meter acceleration-fall, you take off the crest of a wave, there is a feeling that you are about to be thrown over the fence onto the mountainside. After such a water-air adventure, vivid impressions will remain for a long time.
  5. The Singha roller coaster appeared at Siam Park in 2021. The length of the route, on which boats with tourists accelerate to a speed of 65 km / h, is 240 m.

Attractions for the whole family:

  1. Jungle Snake consists of four tunnels in the form of giant snakes that intertwine with each other and go out into a common pool. Inside the tunnels there are areas in which pitch darkness reigns. You need to go down the slides on a special circle with handles. The tracks have different configurations, so it is interesting to ride each of the four "snakes".
  2. TGiant is a track that combines a classic slide with a huge funnel. After a rapid descent and whirling in the seething water, many tourists lose their orientation in space and fly upside down to the finish line. But don't worry - the lifeguards on duty in the finish pool will catch you in time.
  3. Naga Racer is a six-lane water track where you can have a speed race with friends or casual acquaintances. The role of a "racing car" is played by a rug with handles.
  4. Wave Palace is a large wave pool. It is arranged in the form of a sandy beach, the bottom of which completely goes into the depths. Every 10-15 minutes, a huge amount of water falls into the pool, forming three-meter waves. You can go surfing on the wave.
  5. Sawasdee is a complex of water slides for children that replicate attractions for adults on a smaller scale. The slides are located among the dense tropical jungle. Children can ride the rides only under the supervision of their parents.
  6. Lost City is a playground for the little ones. Here, young guests can splash in a shallow warm pool, play in fortresses with towers and bridges, jump on nets and water cascades. The playground has 15 water slides of different designs for guests of different ages.

Relax category:

  1. Mai Thai River is a smooth flowing artificial river that runs through the entire park. If you are tired of active entertainment, you can sit on a comfortable inflatable ring and go for a leisurely swim in the park. Traveling along the river is also a kind of excursion that allows you to take a good look at the unusual architectural structures and picturesque landscapes of Siam Park. At the final stage of the journey, you will swim through a glass tunnel, behind the walls of which sharks and rays swim.
  2. Siam Beach is a beach with the purest white sand where you can sunbathe, relax under an umbrella, swim and eat in eateries.
  3. Cabanas, VIP House, VIP Villa - private recreation areas with friends. They have hammocks, sofas, TVs, showers, mini-bars. VIP customers get the right to skate on all the park's rides without queuing and enjoy all-inclusive restaurants. Private areas need to be booked in advance, their price is 460-960 €.
  4. The Thai Floating Market is one of the park's most colorful attractions and an original fair. Here you can buy snacks, essentials (napkins, sunscreen) and souvenirs.

There is a pool with sea lions near the entrance to the park. Several times a day, you can watch shows with these animals for free.

Useful tips for tourists

Siam Park is a place where many tourists gather every day. To get the most out of your trip to the water park and avoid unpleasant surprises, you should follow a number of rules:

  • Buy park tickets at hotels or online using the official website. This will avoid queues at the checkout.
  • It is better to plan a trip to the water park on a weekday. On weekends, not only tourists but also locals gather in Siam Park, and long lines line up to the attractions.
  • If you don't want to queue up for the rides, you can purchase a fast-track VIP bracelet for € 15. It gives the right to priority skiing, but there are also disadvantages - with it you can visit each attraction only once.
  • The water park is open-air and the sun is very bright at the latitude of the Canary Islands. While waiting in line to ride the water slides, residents of the temperate climatic zone can get sunburn or get heatstroke imperceptibly for themselves. Therefore, do not forget to lubricate your skin with sunscreen and wear a hat.
  • Plan your visit to the water park not for a few hours, but for the whole day. This will give you the opportunity to leisurely try all the interesting slides and entertainment areas.
  • There are several paid lockers in the park; you can find them on the map near the entrance to the complex. For a small locker you will pay 3 €, for a large one - 5 € plus a 5 € deposit. The key is hung on the bracelet that you receive upon entering.
  • The use of changing rooms and showers in Siam Park is free. Life jackets are also provided free of charge. You can bring your own towel or rent it on site for € 3.
  • To visit the park you need to have a swimsuit and slippers. However, experienced tourists recommend walking barefoot around the territory of the water park so as not to fiddle with shoes before going down the slides. There are sun loungers throughout the park where you can relax after visiting the attractions.
  • For safety reasons, visitors with any jewelry - chains, rings, earrings are not allowed on the rides. All jewelry must be removed before the hike.
  • It is prohibited to wear sunglasses in the wave pool.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the park. At the entrance you can take a photo with a professional photographer (cost - 6 euros). Guests can pick up the picture after walking in the park.
  • If you want to grab a bite to eat, there are several cafes and restaurants in the park. Many tourists are interested in how much it costs to eat there and whether it is better to take food with you. But the prices in the park are about the same as in the nearest towns: snacks and drinks can be bought for 1–5 €, lunch will cost 8–15 €.

You can go to such establishments:

  1. Tea House - "Tea House" - offers a large selection of tea, coffee and drinks based on them.
  2. Sweet Siam - "Sweet Siam" - a gourmet establishment. Here you will find a large assortment of pastries, cakes, cupcakes and ice cream.
  3. Thai Bar - "Thai bar" - a place where guests are treated to champagne, wine, cocktails and Thai snacks. Here you can relax on comfortable sofas while admiring the views of the Mai Tai River.
  4. Beach Club - "Beach Club" - can be found on the park beach. The menu includes burgers with french fries, chicken, rolls, wok menu, salads.
  5. Beach Bar - "Beach Bar" - invites guests to try barbecue and popular fast food. The selection of drinks will not disappoint.

If you still want to come to the park with your own food, it is allowed, provided that you deposit the food in a specially designated place (service cost - 3 euros). You can dine at designated picnic areas.

By the time the park closes, huge queues gather at bus stops. The last bus leaves the park 30 minutes after closing, but if you delay, you may not fit into it. Therefore, it is better to finish the entertainment in advance.

Conclusion

Siam Park is not only a water park, but also an original corner of Thai culture in Spain. If you are planning to relax in Tenerife, this place should definitely be included in your travel plan. The park will be interesting for both children and adults.
