The Sky News TV channel announced that the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair expects to resume about 40% of flights from July 1, 2021. It is planned to make about a thousand flights daily, which will be about 90% of the usual number of flights.

Precautionary measures

According to the executive director of the company Michael O'Leary, all safety measures will be taken to prevent and protect against coronavirus for both passengers and crew members. Observance of the distance will be a prerequisite. It will be possible to enter the aircraft cabin only in medical masks, before that it will be necessary to measure the temperature in the airport building.

During the flight, airline employees will serve drinks and prepackaged and packaged meals. They will also take measures to avoid queues at the toilet, the passage to them will be possible strictly one person at a time. Calculations on all flights will be made exclusively in a contactless way.

Additional measures

Within two months, all passengers checking in for the flight will need to provide the addresses of their final destinations where they intend to stay. They should also inform about the purpose of their trip and its duration in time. All data will be transferred by the airline to the authorities of the EU countries in order to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

On May 1, 2021, Ryanair reported that due to the difficult situation in the world due to the coronavirus, normal flights will not be resumed until July 2021, which is generally a crisis for aviation. According to experts, the restoration of the price level and the previous demand for air travel will take about two years.
