According to Tass, citing information provided by the DPA agency, the ministers of economy of sixteen federal states of Germany and the head of the Ministry of Economy and Energy Peter Altmeier, it was decided to open cafes and restaurants in Germany on May 9.

The authorities announced this decision on Wednesday, May 6, at a meeting in the format of a telephone conference between the government of the country and the authorities of the federal states.
Food places that have closed due to the pandemic will be open from May 9. At the same time, it is imperative to strictly observe hygiene standards. There will be no simultaneous opening of enterprises. For this, a temporary corridor was outlined from May 9 to 22. Since March, all restaurants, bars and cafes have been allowed to work only takeaway.

Recently, Russian restaurateurs gave the following assessment of the plan to open catering establishments in the Russian Federation after self-isolation. They reported that the restaurant business will come to its final decline in 2-3 months.

According to the latest information, 169,430 cases of infection were found in Germany. Over the past day, 255 infected have been detected. Over the entire period of the pandemic in Germany, 7392 cases died, and 141,700 people were cured.
