The Turkish Ministry of Transport expects that, first of all, air traffic will be established with Russia and Germany - it is from them that the largest flow of tourists comes to the country. According to experts, after June 12, Turkey will be able to receive aircraft from Russian cities, in which infection rates are the lowest.

Representatives of the Russian aviation industry are skeptical about these assumptions, since in the situation with the spread of the virus, the country has not yet reached a plateau, which means that the abolition of the self-isolation regime is out of the question. Representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency are planning to leave the borders of the Russian Federation closed in the near future. According to them, the likelihood that Russia will resume international flights within one to one and a half months is very small. They suggest two scenarios for border opening:

  1. after the final victory over the coronavirus, flights will be resumed to all foreign destinations at once;
  2. international flights will be launched gradually, starting with those countries where the epidemiological situation is recognized as the most favorable.

Sururi Chorabatyr (head of the Turkish Federation of Hoteliers) assured tourists that prices for vacations after the pandemic would not increase. He explained that the prices will remain at the same level, since the contracts for the upcoming season were signed last year.

On April 29, Turkey announced that the peak incidence in the country has passed. According to the Turkish Ministry of Health, the number of patients recovered from coronavirus has doubled the number of new infections. Statistics of recent days show that there are 129 thousand infected people in the country, 3.5 thousand patients have died, 73, 3 thousand have recovered.
