All arrivals to Turkey to be tested for coronavirus

Nuri Mehmet Ersoy (Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey) recently made a statement that testing for signs of COVID-19 is planned for early June for everyone arriving in the country. Checks will be mandatory at airports and at all border checkpoints.

Diagnostic points will be organized in Antalya and other airports, as well as Kapykul and Ipsala, bordering Greece and Bulgaria. Each passenger crossing the border will have to undergo a 3-minute coronavirus testing procedure, which is planned to be carried out before the passport control stage, in order to prevent pandemonium. According to the Ministry of Health, you can expect to receive test results in 5-6 hours.

Ersoy explained: since the addresses of all citizens arriving in Turkey will be available, this will allow doctors to respond immediately if the situation requires it.

Also, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has recently introduced the "Certification of Healthy Tourism" program, according to which measures are placed under strict control aimed at ensuring the safety of tourists and workers during transportation and during their stay at resorts.
