The Guardian newspaper, referring to the message of the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyjarto, writes that by June 1 it is planned to partially lift restrictions on the border between Hungary and Slovenia. It was necessary during the period of the massive outbreak of the coronavirus in the world.

Hungary and Slovenia are members of the EU. The annual turnover between them exceeds 2.5 billion €. To restart the economies of countries, it is necessary to resume mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Foreign Minister further explained that the countries are working on a phased removal of restrictive measures when crossing the border between them. The date June 1 is chosen as an indicative date.

The head of the department also emphasizes that the measures taken to restore open borders should not negatively affect the inhabitants of the states. Taking care of preserving their health and restoring the economy are the priority directions of the countries' activities in the current conditions. Countries have managed to avoid the large-scale spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus thanks to timely measures to introduce a self-isolation regime.

In the note, The Guardian explains that according to available information in Hungary, the number of cases was 3535 people, of which 462 were deaths and 1400 recovered. In Slovenia, these figures are even lower. 1466 diseases, 104 infections became fatal.

The Slovenian authorities reported last week that the epidemic of coronavirus infection in the state is over. 2 months have passed since the beginning of the outbreak. In Hungary, the authorities are also beginning to gradually ease restrictive measures, starting in Budapest.
