France is gradually returning to normal life, introducing gradual easing of restrictive measures caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. Among other things, the work of some tourist facilities has already been partially resumed in the country. The government of the republic expects to restore the full functioning of this industry by June 21.

The gradual exit from quarantine in France began on May 11. Currently, the state is divided into red (dangerous) and green (safe) zones. Moreover, most of the country's territory is located in the green zone. The overall percentage of the green zone is expected to increase even more in the coming weeks.

“Almost all stores have already opened, except for the largest ones. Meanwhile, even they work in Paris. Already, hotels and even small museums are gradually returning to their usual functioning, ”said Korotkova.

Next week from May 25, the French authorities will announce further decisions regarding the opening of other tourist sites. This includes cafes with restaurants. At the moment, it is expected that they will resume work again from June 2 without restrictions, but subject to compliance with security measures. By June 21, France wants to fully commission all tourist facilities.

However, it is not yet known when the republic will be able to receive the first foreign tourists. Some experts believe that this year travelers will never be able to get to one of the most visited countries in the world. At the same time, the French Ministry of Tourism hopes that the borders will be open at least for the entry of citizens from neighboring countries. The country's government has already adopted a plan to restore the tourism sector, which is planned to spend 18 billion euros.
