Immigration is a complex and time-consuming issue. If you do decide to take this step, you need to be prepared not only financially, but also study all the documentary requirements.

Lists of documents for moving to Canada

The certificates, certificates, extracts and other documents required for immigration in each country have their own characteristics. But any list of documents can be divided into three types: mandatory documents for all applicants, mandatory additional documents and others.

The required documents for moving to Canada include:

  • Proof of professional qualifications and seniority. In order to qualify for one of the federal programs, you must have at least one year of work experience. Therefore, it is important to provide as much evidence of the duration of the work and the success in it as possible.
  • Medical certificate. Before moving to the country, you need to undergo a medical examination by accredited doctors to confirm that there are no serious health problems.
  • A copy of the passport pages with personal data. A scanned copy of the passport is required to confirm the identity of the applicant.
  • A police certificate confirming that you have not had any problems with the law.

Next, we move on to the mandatory additional documents. These include:

  • Confirmation of knowledge of a foreign language. Can go a long way towards a positive immigration decision for a candidate. For Canada, IELTS certificates are suitable for confirming knowledge of the English language and TEF Canada - for confirming knowledge of French.
  • Proof of education (diploma). Required to qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker program.
  • A copy of the birth certificate - to confirm the connection between the parents and the child.
  • An invitation from the employer. It will be required as a justification for the availability of a vacancy, the applicant's compliance with the program requirements and, of course, to exclude fraud.
  • Proof of cash. It is important for the members of the Embassy commission that you do not live in poverty upon arrival in Canada, so you need to show that you have a certain amount.

Other documents include:

  • Proof of relationship with residents of Canada. Lack of such information reduces the chances for a positive decision on your candidacy.
  • Digital photographs.
  • Additional Information. Any that you deem relevant to substantiate your trustworthiness, competence, and potential benefit to the Canadian community.

How to make a correct translation

Of course, all of the above documents require translation.

Certified translation of the passport is especially important, therefore we recommend using the online passport translation in order to get the service quickly and at a minimum cost.

The structure and design of the translated document must be identical to the original. It is also obligatory to have a special footer with the signature of the translator entered in the state notary register.

It is possible that other papers with a notarized translation may also be required. For example, birth certificate, power of attorney, marriage certificate, etc. It is advisable to check with the Canadian Embassy which official documents require a certified translation.
