Do Russians need a visa to Cyprus in 2021

New rules of entry to Cyprus in 2021

It is now recommended for all tourists traveling to Cyprus to complete the online form cyprusflightpass.gov.cyafter check-in for the flight. It indicates the number of the tourist's seat on the plane. Also, the form must contain information:

  • departure date, flight number, purpose of the trip;
  • passport data, personal contacts, hotel information;
  • a certificate of vaccination or the result of a PCR test is attached to the form;
  • data of those who are sent with you to Cyprus.

After filling out, you will soon receive an email with FlightPass and a QR code. This information must be printed and presented at check-in and upon arrival in Cyprus.

Rules for entry to Cyprus for non-vaccinated tourists

For Russians who have not been vaccinated, the conditions of stay in Cyprus have become more stringent since August 1, 2021. Added one more PCR test, it is done on the seventh day of stay in Cyprus and every three days thereafter. This measure was supposed to be canceled on August 31, 2021, but so far it remains.

Documents required for Russians to travel to Cyprus without vaccination:

  1. International passport.
  2. Pro-visa issued on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, multiple-entry Schengen visa or national visa (Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia).
  3. First PCR test done 72 hours before arrival in Cyprus.

Russian documents about a past illness from the website of "Gosusluga" will not work. These conditions were valid until August 31, 2021, but while there is no new information on this topic, they remain relevant.

The advantage of Russian certificates is that you can go to Turkey with them, and upon returning home you do not need to take any tests.

Rules for vaccinated Russian tourists

For tourists who have been vaccinated, the requirements established on May 10, 2021 apply. Documents required to visit Cyprus:

  • international passport;
  • a pro-visa issued on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, a multiple-entry Schengen visa, or a national visa (Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia);
  • a certificate of vaccination, which must be obtained on the website of "Gosuslugi" in English;
  • health questionnaire completed 48 hours before arrival on the website cyprusflightpass.gov.cy, the vaccination certificate must also be downloaded here.

Do not forget to confirm your account on the "Gosuslugi" website and be sure to indicate the details of your passport in the certificate.

Rules for the return of Russian tourists to Russia from Cyprus in 2021

Tourists flying from Cyprus to the Russian Federation need to fill out a questionnaire on the State Services website before registering for a flight to Russia. You can fill out a document on the form, which will be given by the stewardess during the flight.

On an electronic form, the arriving person receives a QR code to present when passing the sanitary control at the airport in Russia. The paper questionnaire is given to the medical staff.

Everyone arriving from Cyprus makes two tests for coronavirus: 3 days after arrival and 5 days later. In this case, self-isolation must be observed until the result of the first test is obtained.
