Each of the possible types of paper has its own design subtleties:

When concluding a contract, it is important to take into account the area of its validity. The insurance must be valid in any state of the Schengen area.

If a Russian applies for a multiple entry visa, then the dates of the first trip are entered in the medical policy.

Many of our compatriots, in order not to risk their funds in the event of a visa refusal, make a special reservation without prepayment.

Requirements for proof of residence

Even if a tourist is going to stay with close relatives or friends, it is worth attaching a hotel or hostel room reservation to the visa application documents.

The level of the hotel does not matter, but it is important that the reservation is made in one of the following ways:

  • Directly on the hotel website;
  • Through special booking systems.

The form must contain the following information:

Where to apply for a visa to Lithuania

The applicant can choose any of the following methods of applying for a visa:

  • Through visa centers;
  • At the Embassy;
  • Through the staff of the consular departments.

Methods and nuances of filing documents

For a Lithuanian visa, papers are submitted only in person and in paper form. If the applicant is unable to visit the institution independently, it is allowed to use the services of attorneys. They can be:

  • Any person named by the applicant in a notarized power of attorney;
  • Travel companies;
  • Specialized companies that provide services for the registration of permits.

If intermediaries are involved in the whole process, then the visa applicant will only need to resolve the issue of submitting biometric data. To do this, you need to personally come to the embassy or call specialists at home for an additional fee in the amount of 150 euros.

Reception at the embassy and consulate is carried out by appointment only. Visa centers accept papers by appointment and on a first come, first served basis.

Visa waiting time after submission of documents

On average, a decision on an application is made within 2 weeks. If after 14 days the visa has not arrived, then there is a high likelihood of additional questions from the consular staff.

They may request additional certificates and extracts, which will drag out the period for consideration of the questionnaire up to 30 days.

It is not too difficult to collect permits to enter Lithuania. The main thing in this process is attentiveness and careful observance of all requirements.
