  • Foreigners entering military service in the Russian army under a contract (a notarized copy of the contract);
  • Foreign investors and highly qualified specialists.

What documents to prepare

Terms of renewal of temporary residence permit in Moscow and the region

The concept of extending a temporary residence permit is not provided for in migration documents. Foreign citizens and stateless persons are required to obtain a residence permit during the validity of the TRP, or they will be forced to leave the country. At the next entry into the Russian Federation, it is possible to repeat the procedure.

Important nuances when obtaining a temporary residence permit

  • The migration authorities require, in accordance with the established procedure, to provide a certificate of income and actualization of residence in the Russian Federation every year;
  • If a person located in the territory of the Russian Federation does not have an official source of income, he or a citizen of Russia, who has this foreigner as a dependent, is obliged to confirm the presence of funds in the bank account in the amount of two hundred and ten thousand rubles (210,000 rubles);
  • Registration is required on the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • According to the latest amendments, in 2019, the passage of a fingerprint examination was introduced;
  • In case of stay more than 183 calendar days a foreigner is obliged to register for tax purposes;
  • The exam also assumes that the examinee has knowledge in the field of the history of Russia and the legislative base of the Russian Federation.

A temporary residence permit issued in Moscow and the Moscow region gives the legal right to employment without obtaining patents. When registering an employment relationship, a foreign citizen will receive a full-fledged employment contract.
