Only certain citizens can enter Bosnia and Herzegovina without a visa. In this case, you will need to comply with the rules for processing and submitting documents to obtain an entry permit.

Visa-free regime

In 2013, an agreement was signed between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia, according to which visa processing is canceled for citizens who come to the country for tourist purposes.

Also, it is not required to issue a special entry permit for persons who have an invitation from a private person or a business partner. But when planning such a trip, any commercial activity is strictly prohibited. At the same time, a visitor can freely visit cultural institutions, catering and any events on the territory of the state.

Duration of stay

Travelers arriving in the country for the purpose of tourism can stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 30 days. Subsequent entry without a visa will only be allowed after two months. If the thirty-day limit has not been reached, there is no need to wait for a pause of 8 weeks. When performing a business trip, it is allowed to stay in the country for three months.

If a tourist enters at the invitation of a relative or friend who permanently lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the period of stay is increased to 90 days. Re-entry is also possible only after two months. Similar periods of stay are established for persons who come to the Balkans for the purpose of education, treatment and participation in sports events.
