Such successes allowed the concern to increase revenue to 164.3 billion euros. and to raise net profit to a new high of 10.9 billion euros, up 23.86% over the previous year. This has significantly strengthened the position of "Mercedes" as the leader of the premium segment cars.
History of the Mercedes company
The loss of Germany in World War II, the devaluation of its own currency and the strengthening of the position of Ford Motor Company in the domestic market forced the management of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie to take drastic steps. So, in 1926, by the merger of two competitors, the world famous car manufacturer Daimler-Benz was born, which was later renamed Daimler AG.
