Tourism in Israel has been suspended due to the spread of coronavirus infection. Recently, the country began to gradually emerge from quarantine. When the epidemiological situation improves, Russian tourists will have the opportunity to visit Israel. Forecasts point to late summer - early autumn.

On April 17, a return to their former life began, Israel began to exit quarantine. But it is not yet clear when tourism will resume. First of all, local residents will have the opportunity to travel, this will only affect the territory of the country itself. It is assumed that people in any case will have to observe safety measures, use gloves, masks and antiseptics, to which everyone has time to get used to. This was stated by the department of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in the Russian Federation and the CIS specifically for the Interfax-Tourism portal.

The press service notes that initially, visitors to the hotel will not be allowed to use the public space. Food delivery will be carried out directly to the room. Cafes and restaurants will open later. But even in them, for the sake of safety, it will be necessary to keep a social distance. Only those establishments in which all employees comply with all sanitary safety rules will begin to work openly.

It is currently unknown at what point the passenger flights will be opened for international tourism. Russian tour operators predict travel for late summer - early autumn. Vladimir Shklyar, who is the director of the department, hopes that these hopes will come true.

The department shared information that quarantine measures will be mitigated gradually. At first, some stores and retail chains will be opened. Employees will be able to stay at their workplaces, citizens will be allowed to leave their homes for long distances. Then exchange offices, hairdressers, beauty salons, small street shops, and shops for children will open. Presumably, this stage will begin by the end of the week.

In the future, shopping centers will continue to function. All organizations and shops must carefully comply with sanitary standards.

On March 12, foreigners were banned from entering Israel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Local residents could return to their hometown, but they were obliged to comply with a two-week quarantine. On April 12, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suspended all overseas flights to Israel.
