The Israeli Ministry of Tourism has decided to gradually remove restrictions on visiting reserves and national parks.

In the decree, the ministry noted that visiting these tourist sites will be possible only with advance booking and purchase of entrance tickets online. They can be purchased from the Israel Natural Resources and Parks Authority website. Using these methods, it is planned to avoid the possibility of queues at the cash desks at the entrance to the park zones.

The decree specifies quotas for the number of visitors per day - from 300 to 2000 people. They are determined on an individual basis, depending on the area, the number of attractions and the average tourist flow of each object. This will help to avoid crowds and provide an opportunity for adherence to distance rules.

This week, 11 park areas were opened for visiting: Masada, Herodium, Caesarea, Springs of Yarkon, the historical complex of Tel Afek in Yarkon Park, Beit Guvrin, Kastel, Maayan Harod, Apollonia, Ein ha-Besor and Ein Gedi, which has the status of both the reserve and the national park.

Also, 9 nature reserves began to receive tourists: Einot Tsukim, Yehudiya, Banias, Ein Afek, Nahal Snir, Hula, Nahal Ayun, Taninim Stream and Matsok ha-Tsenim.

In the coming days, another 20 national parks and reserves and 8 campings will be ready to receive tourists.

Increased security measures are observed in all opening objects. At the entrance, the visitors' temperature is measured and a special identification bracelet is put on, indicating the time of the beginning of the inspection.

All tourists when visiting parks and reserves are required to wear protective masks, not violate the rules of personal hygiene and keep two meters away from other visitors.

The ministry stressed that by consciously observing safety rules, people will not only protect their own health, but also prove their right to leave the house.
