The independent news agency Interfax, citing a statement filed by the Cyprus Ministry of Transport, Communications and Public Works, shared the latest news. Already on June 9, Cyprus plans to partially resume flights with other states. The weakening of restrictive measures will take place gradually.

At the first stage of the restoration of flights, which will last from 9 to 19 June 2021, the airports of Larnaca and Paphos will be opened. They will allow flights from countries such as Norway, Germany, Slovenia, Greece, Austria, Slovakia, Malta, Denmark, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Finland, Israel and Hungary to arrive.

The next stage starts on June 20. On this day, Cyprus will restore flights with the following countries: Croatia, Estonia, Switzerland, Romania, Czech Republic and Poland.
However, preventive measures will still need to be followed. At first, passengers will be asked to provide a certificate confirming that they are not sick with coronavirus infection. It is required that less than 72 hours elapse from the moment of testing by a certified laboratory to the flight.

When the locals return to Cyprus, they do the test immediately upon arrival. However, before the result is revealed, they will have to comply with the isolation regime.

Testing will begin to be canceled later. On June 20, visitors from the countries of the first part of the list will no longer need to provide the test result for coronavirus infection. They will be allowed on the island without him. But guests from the second part of the list will still be required to show a certificate of a negative result for COVID-19.

Russia and the United Kingdom are important tourist entry markets for the island. However, flights with these countries will not be resumed in the near future.
