Ski resort Karpacz is a tourist, skiing and health center located at the foot of the Giant Mountains, namely the Snezka Mountain, 1602 m high. This is the highest point of the Sudetes, where, according to legend, the spirit of the Giant Mountains still lives. Today Karpacz is a popular skiing destination for skiers and snowboarders, as well as an excellent location for active summer holidays, because in addition to natural attractions, in the city and the surrounding area, tourists may be interested in local architectural monuments.

Location and infrastructure of the Karpacz resort

Karpacz in the 16th century was called the village of gold diggers. The city is located in the southeastern part of Poland in the Giant Mountains, the highest massif in the Sudetenland. The mountain system got its name from the fabulous giant Krkonoš, the protector of the green world in the area.

The Krkonosze mountain range stretches from north-west to south-east and is located on the border of two countries - Poland and the Czech Republic. The territory of these mountains mainly belongs to the national park. In the southern part, closer to the Czech Republic, there is Mount Snezka, the highest point in the Sudetenland. If you climb the mountain, you will have an amazing view of the entire Giant Mountains.

The city of Kapach is located at an altitude of 480-885 m.

In Karpacz, the infrastructure is very developed: in the morning before skiing, you can swim in the indoor pool, and in the evening go to the disco. The many cozy bars and restaurants will not disappoint even the discerning palate.

Ski trails

The winter ski center Karpacz has slopes ranging from 820 to 1350 meters high. The difference in height is about 530 meters. The resort has 26 lifts and 27 trails with a total length of 16 km with evening lighting at an additional cost.

The ski slopes are divided according to the difficulty level. For beginners, there are 5 easy green trails. For more experienced skiers and snowboarders, there are 15 blue slopes. Confident professionals will appreciate the 3 red slopes, while the most daring athletes can try their hand at skiing on the 4 black slopes.

The popular and demanded chair lift to Kopa Peak (1,375 meters) serves three different trails: the simple Jan trail (400 m), the challenging Zlotówka trail (3100 m) and the Lichizhepa professional trail (3000 m).

If you go up to Kopa, then you can easily get to Snezhka.

For cross-country skiers, the Karpacz resort offers the picturesque Khomatova ski track. There are also all opportunities for freeriding outside the declared 27 tracks.

In addition to the ski slopes, tourists are offered 2 toboggan tracks with a length of 1065 and 800 meters. But if the ski season runs from November to April, then the toboggan season lasts all year round: weather conditions do not affect it.
