In any civilized state, there are services that are engaged in sending letters, parcels and parcels throughout the country and abroad. Post in Poland is primarily represented by the state-owned company Poczta Polska. The organization performs regular and express delivery, is distinguished by a varied and high-quality service.

General information

Poland Post was founded in 1918. The headquarters of the company is located in Warsaw. The company has a huge staff (about 80,000), 7,000 branches throughout the country and its own vehicle fleet.

The official website of “Polish Post” contains a lot of information about the company: a list of services, links to social networks, a calculator for calculating the cost of sending, and much more.

The company is engaged in international postal exchange and servicing of domestic shipments throughout the country. Is a member of the worldwide Express Mail Service cooperative.

The organization's activities are carried out according to the rules of the International Postal Union. This guarantees freedom of transit for parcels transported by land, sea and air.

Poczta Polska is a national analogue of Russian Post, Ukrposhta and other state postal services. The organization works quite efficiently and is not inferior in popularity to commercial operators of the market: Ukrainian "New mail" or Russian "Multipochta".

Poczta Polska boasts an optimal combination of price, quality and delivery time. Goods from Poland are sent by insured parcel with a declared value. You can pick them up at the indicated branch.

The standard working hours of the Polish Post: from 08:00 to 20:00.

Varieties of parcels and consignments

Through Poczta Polska you can send:

  1. Letters - regular, registered, valuable, express.
  2. Parcels - ordinary, custom-made, valuable.
  3. Parcels - small, registered small, ordinary, valuable, express.

Depending on the characteristics of the parcel, the price of transportation and the speed of delivery are formed.

Shipments can be conditionally divided into the following types:

  • international - delivered by air or by land to more than 230 countries;
  • priority (custom) - processed and transported on a priority basis;
  • targeted - delivery to specific recipients.

After sending, you can track the parcel by its track code. It is very convenient and fast. This technology allows you to accurately determine where the shipment is located and what its status is.

How quickly parcels are delivered to the CIS

Transportation speed depends on the weight, dimensions and type of parcel. It is very problematic to determine the exact period for which the object will arrive at its destination. Approximate delivery times based on practice:

  • Russia - 7-15 business days;
  • Belarus - 5–8;
  • Kazakhstan - 6-11;
  • Moldova - 4-8;
  • Ukraine - 6-8;
  • Georgia - 6.

Depending on the type of delivery, its terms vary. The fastest way to arrive is using EMS.

Tracking numbers

Poland Post assigns tracking numbers to parcels and couriers. The sender may not register small packages and letters, but then they will be without a track number.

In order to better understand how international postal items are tracked by identifier, here are some examples of designations assigned by Poczta Polska:

  1. RA123456785PL - small packages from Poland weighing up to 2 kg in the track number have the first letter R, from the word Registered.
  2. CD123456785PL - a parcel weighing up to 20 kg comes with a tracking number that starts with the letter C.
  3. EE123456785PL - fast delivery EMS, the first letter of the designation is E.

Thanks to unique identifiers, the mail and the sender can accurately check the status of the package. In addition to numbers, the last letters are important: they determine the country of the postal service from where the parcel was sent.

Tracking postal items

On the Postal.Ninja website, it is possible to track postal items of Polish mail.

  1. Seeing the status "Receiving a shipment", the recipient makes sure that the package is in transit.
  2. Then the items of the "Polish Post" arrive at the sorting center, where they are distributed and sent to the point of international postal exchange.
  3. Parcels go through customs and are handed over to the postal operator of the receiving country. This is evidenced by the "Export" tracking status.
  4. Then the parcel moves to the designated post office.
  5. The “Delivered” status indicates that the shipment has arrived.

To pick up a letter or a parcel, find out in advance the daily routine at the post office (on the official website or by phone).

Customs clearance

The activities of the Polish customs are carried out on the basis of European legislation. If the goods are imported into Poland from outside the EU, the transit procedure takes place: internal (within the European Union) to the place of admission of the goods to free circulation, or external - outside the EU.

Many Internet users make purchases in foreign online stores, which is why DPD Poland (Dynamic Parcel Distribution), an international express delivery service, is in demand.

The transportation of such parcels is inextricably linked with customs. In most cases, border clearance is carried out without problems: the goods have been ordered, the transportation conditions have been agreed, and all that remains is to wait. However, there are situations when you need to pay a fee to receive the parcel.

For 2021, uniform rates of customs payments are in effect in the Russian Federation, regardless of the type of enterprise that processes postal items.

If the delivery of the parcel is ordered through a state enterprise, in our case Poczta Polska, then the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Post" will carry out customs clearance in Russia and further transportation.

Approximate delivery prices in Poland for an object weighing up to 2 kg:

    • letter - PLN 64.20,
    • economy parcel - 62,
    • priority departure - PLN 70,
    • EMS parcel - 164.82.

Prices are indicated without taking into account the commission of the money transfer system

  5. If an acknowledgment of receipt is required, the CN 07 form must be completed and handed over with the shipment to the postal officer.

A package to Poland through the "Russian Post" has a unique identifier by which you can track its status.

Many customers are concerned about calculating the cost of delivery. On average, rates for sending cargo, letters and parcels abroad are slightly higher than within the country. This can be explained by the need for additional clearance at customs. For goods to legally cross the border, duties must be paid.

You can always find out the delivery price from an employee of the postal service, before sending a letter to Poland by express mail, a parcel or a parcel post.
