According to the news portal Total Croatia News, the Croatian government expects the country to have a tourist season when the crisis is over.
The Croatian Adriatic has always been a well-known tourist area in which Austrians, Czechs, Hungarians, Germans, Poles and Slovenes love to relax.

There is a favorable epidemiological situation in the country, so the authorities expect that they will not have to cancel the arrival of guests.

Europeans travel to Croatia by car, which is very convenient for them. This is beneficial for the tourism industry. Romeo Dragikchio, who is the head of the Croatian National Tourism Board, said the Germans would be allowed to enter Croatia from mid-July. This is due to the fact that they have restrictions set only until June 14. After this period, the precautions begin to weaken.

How was the tourist season in 2021? The country has been visited by 3 million tourists from Germany. About 50% of them rested in the last month of summer. Romeo Dragicchio notes that at least half of the visitors from last year's data will be enough for Croatia. They will help Croatia save the tourist season.

Residents of Slovenia usually rent cottages and live on camping grounds. In 2021, 11 million overnight stays were recorded there.

Ivana Hergetz, who is the director of the Croatian National Tourism Board in Hungary, shared information that Croatia could become a significant holiday destination for Hungarians.

Dubravko Miholich, director of the Croatian National Tourism Board in the Czech Republic, said that Czechs would prefer Slovakia and Austria for their holidays. And only then will they visit Croatia. Other European countries will be too expensive in 2021.
