Persons from 16 to 30 years old can get a visa. First, they submit documents to the university, since confirmation of enrollment is required during registration. After arriving in the country, you need to register with the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Residence permit for study purposes

The difference from a long-term visa is to pass an interview with the embassy staff and fill out a different form. The number of entries is not limited. After the decision is made, a visa is issued for 60 days: during this time, the migrant is registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic and receives a residence permit.

How to get a student visa to the Czech Republic

  • Two photographs 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
  • Document confirming admission to the university;
  • Certificate confirming the availability of money for living and paying for tuition;
  • No criminal record;
  • A rental agreement or other document proving that the student has living space for the duration of his studies;
  • Insurance policy;
  • Certificate of absence of serious diseases.

If the applicant is under 18 years old, then additional documents are required:

  • The consent of both parents for the child to leave the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • In case of death of one of the parents, submit a death certificate;
  • Birth certificate.

All documents must be notarized.

After collecting the documents, they make an appointment at the embassy. Until October 31, 2017, the registration procedure was carried out through the Visapoint system, but now it has been canceled. Today it is enough to send the following data to the embassy's e-mail:

All documents are translated into Czech. The translation is carried out:

  • In the Czech Republic with a court interpreter;

Terms of registration of a student visa to the Czech Republic

The verification and registration procedure takes 60 days. If the applicant has applied for a visa for taking language courses, the period is increased to 90-120 days. These are approximate terms, they can be increased depending on the workload of the embassy.

The decision on extradition is sent by mail or to the person's email address. Visa must be collected within 179 days, otherwise it will be considered invalid, and all stages will have to be repeated.

After the visa is issued, the embassy staff will inform the student about this and invite them to pick it up.

If the applicant cannot appear on his own, then the person for whom the notarized power of attorney has been drawn up has the right to do so. He must have the applicant's passport and insurance policy.

The cost of obtaining a study visa to the Czech Republic

The consular fee is 35 euros. It is additionally paid:

  1. Certification of signature - 10 euros;
  2. Translation from Russian into Czech - 12 euros per page;
  3. Certification of copies of documents - 1 A4 sheet will cost 12 euros.

The following are exempt from payment of the fee:

  • Children under 6 years old;
  • People with disabilities;
  • One person accompanying the disabled person.

If a person has relatives living in the Schengen area, he also does not pay the consular fee.

Grounds for refusal to issue a study visa to the Czech Republic

The applicant has 15 days to appeal the decision.The application cannot be sent by e-mail, you must indicate your data and the subject of the dispute. The complaint is considered by the embassy, ​​if the result does not change, a second application is submitted to the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Consideration period takes 35 days.

How to renew a student visa

The visa is renewed no later than 14 days before the expiration date. You can order in advance, but not earlier than 90 days. For this you need:

  1. Come to the embassy;
  2. Hand over a package of documents;
  3. Wait 60 days.

When the visa is ready, the student will be invited to pick it up.
