Italy was the first country in Europe to face a coronavirus infection. Tough restrictive measures were introduced in it, but they are gradually beginning to weaken. The other day we posted a decree canceling the ban on movement. It was decided to remove this restrictive measure in 2 stages.

The document says that on May 18, the restriction that prohibits people from moving around the regions will be lifted. However, the government of the country and local governments can leave this ban in their regions in the event that there is a severe epidemiological situation in these areas.

Until at least June 2, people will still not be able to use public transport, move between different regions, even by private car. In addition, the borders will still not be opened in both directions. You can neither leave Italy nor come to it. The only exceptions were business travel and travel related to health.

This is the first stage. The second step will be taken on June 3rd. From that day on, they will be allowed to travel to the regions.

On June 3, the authorities will also open the borders between the countries. Italians will resume access to the Vatican, San Marino and other states where there is a favorable situation associated with the coronavirus. Only those citizens who live in countries with a calm epidemiological situation will be admitted to Italy.

Patients with confirmed coronavirus infection will continue to be prohibited from movement. They are required to be in mandatory quarantine. The same requirements apply to all people who have come into contact with COVID-19 patients.

The Italian government has not yet clarified whether it is necessary for passengers arriving in the country to comply with a two-week quarantine, or this restriction has also been lifted.
